Dedicated to helping persons on the road to recovery

The road to recovery is not always smooth or easy.  Sometimes there are curves.  Persons who care give hope and pave the way.
USPRA MI  is  ABOUT  rededication
and rebuilding in 2012 !!

Board member Debbie Giles manned the USPRA-MI table at the MACMHB Winter conference in Lansing.  We were selling USPRA membership as a valuable  tool for practice and were promoting the CPRP credential as something that would improve the competence of the workforce in Michigan!
POWER DAY IS AN ANNUAL RALLY HELD IN LANSING.  With POWER DAY 2012, USPRA-MI is aiming to emphasize that psychosocial services do help people achieve  recovery and that people with mental illness represent a sizeable, untapped resource for the state.

POWER DAY 2012 will provide recipients of mental health services and their supporters an opportunity and a forum to educate leaders of the importance of mental health programs that work and the social justice behind equity in mental health care.  Participants are encouraged to schedule appointments to meet with legislators from their home districts whil they are in Lansing for the rally.

The rally will be held rain or shine on the east lawn of the Capital building.  The rally begins with registration at 11:30.  From 12:00pm ro 2:00pm, dynamic speakers from across the state will address the theme.
